2012 Screen Icon Search (SIS) Highlights
On the eve of the GIAMA Awards, the Screen Icon Search (SIS) competition was held with a sole purpose of identifying and recognizing young and future talents with the right qualities to get into the Nollywood industry. The SIS was moderated by three top Directors/Producers in the African Movie industry – Emem Isong (Nigeria), Frank Rajah (Ghana) and Pascal Atuma (USA).
The top 5 winners of the SIS Competition “Diana Yekinni, Rosalyn Bertrand, Fontanne Bassey, Omolola Isola, Ashlon Handy” were announced during the award ceremony, and “Diana Yekinni” who emerged as the top winner for the 2012 SIS competition automatically sealed 3 movie deals with Emem Isong, Pascal Atuma and Frank Rajah and earned a free airline ticket to Africa to accomplish this deal. She is currently shooting in Ghana with Frank Rajah, and will travel to Nigeria to complete the movie deal with Emem Isong, and will finally star in a movie with Pascal Atuma in the nearest future.
In addition to the Airline ticket and Movie deals, Diana Yekinni also earned a Photoshoot, and an Exclusive interview with Golden Icons as part of the perks, and we look forward to seeing her growth in the industry.

2013 Screen Icon Search (SIS) Highlights
The 2nd Annual SIS was hosted by Uti Nwachukwu and Emma Emerson, and was judged by four top Directors/ Producers in the African Movie industry – Emem Isong, Lancelot Imasuen, Frank Rajah and Pascal Atuma. The 2013 winner of the competition is Anita Chris. The 2nd and 3rd positions at the 2nd SIS completion were awarded to Stellante Lopez and Thelma Mitchell respectively.

2014 Screen Icon Search (SIS) Training Highlights
We believe that there is a need to provide and enhance the quality of actors entering the Nollywood continue to rise amidst the ever increasing competition, so also has the need to provide top-notch education to the aspiring stars in order to provide them with what it takes to succeed in the industry. In order to arm these young aspirants with the toolbox to succeed in the acting world, Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA), the organization behind the SIS decided to put together a workshop in 2014 that will feature a number of notable actors/directors in the Nollywood industry to provide an academic platform for teaching and instilling the technicalities of acting to the participants.
Super talented Award Winning Director Lancelot Imasuen alongside with multiple-award winning actor Majid Michel both delivered a powerful lecture on what it takes to succeed as an actor at the of the 2014 GIAMA Screen Icon Search Acting Seminar in Houston, Texas.
