While training and lecturing the aspiring actors here in Houston, Mr Imaseun used Lupita Nyong’o as an example of what it takes to become a successful star actress at the 2014 Screen Icon Search Acting Seminar.. “Those of you that think that I have to be the finest girl.. The girl has proven that eh.. Breast she no get, Face, fine, she no get.. Fine she no get..Bobbie, she no get.. but listen to me, when it is time for business to pay you.. It is you that is being looked for.” Another solid point that Lancelot made was “African Actors and Actresses dwell so much on the physical…. Acting is not about the physical.. Acting comes from within, and begins to affect the physical. ”
So to conclude from what Lancelot said, it is not just your shape or looks that will take you to the next level, it is about you, your talent, and the “grace” factor of being accepted by the public as a believable actor.
